Case Study
Pastel Exterior Stucco Repainting
A distinctive Primrose Hill terraced house, renowned for its pastel-coloured stucco facade, required a complete exterior repaint. The owners wished to refresh the existing soft pink render while updating the front door and window frames to complement the building's charming Regency character.
The Challenge
The stucco render had developed a network of hairline cracks that needed to be addressed before any topcoat could be applied, as moisture ingress was beginning to cause damp patches on the internal walls. The property sits on a busy residential street, requiring careful scaffolding and pedestrian management throughout the works.
Our Approach
Full scaffolding was erected with pavement licensing obtained from Camden Council. Every crack in the render was raked out, filled with a flexible masonry filler, and sanded flush. The entire facade was then treated with a stabilising primer before receiving two coats of Sandtex Fine Textured Masonry Paint in a bespoke-mixed pastel rose. The front door was stripped back to timber and refinished in a complementary heritage green gloss, while all window frames received fresh coats of exterior eggshell.
Before & After

Full stucco facade restored in bespoke pastel rose

Front door refinished in Calke Green gloss
The Result
The house is once again one of the most photographed facades on the street. The pastel pink render is perfectly even and the hairline cracking has been completely eliminated. The heritage green front door provides a striking contrast that draws admiring comments from neighbours and passers-by alike.
Products Used
“Our house looks absolutely picture-perfect again. The colour match is identical to the original and the cracking problem has been completely solved. We have already had two neighbours ask for the team's details.”
